During the summer of 2009 we had a couple of riders stop by from France. They were completing a round the world tour in 90 days on the 48th parallel. Leaving France they crossed Siberia, China and arrived in Vancouver, Canada where they were expecting to meet French speaking bilingual Canadians! They never met any and neither knew any English
So when they arrived in Moose Jaw they used lots of gestures to ask where the closest Honda dealer was. A kindly fella at the gas pumps knew just a little French so he led them up to our shop. Below are some pics as they changed tires, chains/sprocket and other service related items. The bikes were Honda 750 Africa Twins - a model not sold in North America.
They had huge French corporate sponsors and had a large fan base where every evening they updated their web-site via satellite. The one picture has a decal on the windshield indicating their route across the 48th.
